Artist Statement
One thing that we all have in common is that we cry when we're sad, frustrated, mad, or experiencing a tragedy. This piece of art was created with special attention to tears; the drop of one tear can mean different things, big or small. In this case this tear drops for the destruction of Aleppo. The smoke rising says words like hope, pray, and heal because that's what will rise from this tragedy.
Lauren Waisnor is a business major looking to minor in graphic design at North Shore Community College in Danvers, Massachusetts. Lauren's interests include drawing, spin class, traveling, food, and the HGTV network. She intends to get her associates degree at NSCC, then transfer to another school to study graphic design. Lauren hopes to design houses, interiors, and advertisements one day.
