Syrian government launched bombs, a found poem
by Sam Bresnahan
Syrian government launched bombs
Two hospitals hit.
Unclear if they will reopen.
Last neurosurgeon in eastern Aleppo
Sounded desperate,
“We no longer have hospitals to operate in.”
Neighborhoods are in flames.
“It feels like a living hell.”
Bombs are raining down.
“Send help.”
Attacks on health care facilities, deliberate.
Scale of misery fast eclipses what is imaginable.
Father cries out for son,
“I’ve lost everything, you are my life.”
